What can really be said about The Walking Dead that hasn't been said before? This is a must have for any sane comic book fan. Kirkman consistently delivers tense, suspenseful and, quite frankly, amazing story lines. Eighty issues in and it's as good as ever.

This issue sees the beginning of the newest arc 'No Way Out'. The survivors have been living in a gated community for a few issues now with all the tension, power struggles and deception that goes along with that. Add that to the new threat of the reappearing zombie horde on the other side of the wall and some people may think it sounds a lot like the prison storyline. Not Quite, like most things in life the beauty of The Walking Dead lies beneath the surface.

Kirkman begins what is sure to be another great arc by setting us off at a slow simmer. The zombie horde is still contained outside the wall  for now but you can just feel the tension building to the inevitable carnage of the good old days.

Adlard shows us again why he is a perfect fit for this book. His style just fits perfectly with the black and white format. No one can deliver a dialogue free scene like Adlard and Rathburn. Of particular note is the gorgeous way the snow seems to fall so naturally on the page.

If you haven't already, go buy this book and get in on the ground floor of what is looking like a game changing arc for our survivors.
