Every so often a series comes along that just works on every level, Avengers: The Childrens Crusade is one of those series. Heinberg and Cheung return to the team they created like they never left and bring us a fast paced intriguing story.

With this issue Heinberg shows us a little more of what happened when the Scarlet Witch disappeared. Not too much though, we are slowly being drip fed the information inbetween scenes of the Avengers, Young avengers, Quicksilver and Magneto attempting to infiltrate Doom's castle to retrieve Wiccan and Wanda.

The dialogue is sharp and flows well. The art is near flawless for me and the action packed splash pages towards the end look sublime. The final page reveal just leaves you wanting more and more from this excellent limited series and also offers some delicious possibilities for where the story can go from here. Wherever Heinberg and Cheung decide to take us next I'll be along for the ride.
